Our April 2014 Memorial Tribute

A Simple Page to Mark the 44th Anniversary of Inger's Passing

It's hard to believe that it has been forty-four years since the day Inger Stevens left us; at times it seems as if it were only yesterday that we were seeing her name in a review of a new film, or that she would be appearing on a late night talk show as a guest. However, the somber reality is that she has been gone for awhile now, and gathering new photos or recollections about her is increasingly difficult. With each passing year, there are fewer of her friends and contemporaries from which to draw anecdotes and remembrances.
I must admit that I drew a blank when trying to find a theme for this year's memorial; I couldn't come up with a fresh perspective or approach that would be a worthy tribute to Inger's memory. So instead, I will let her own image be this year's testimonial: here for your viewing pleasure are some of the images collected over the course of the past year...Hopefully, one of these images will strike a responsive chord within you as you go thru them; if it sparks or triggers a fond recollection of Inger, then it will have done it's job. Perhaps Inger's timeless visage is her own best memorial...

Kara Inger, you are remembered on this day.

On this day, we remember the soft grey-blue eyes, the dimpled cheek, the slightly-crooked face carrying the whimsical grin that could burst into the most dazzling smile...we remember, you, kara Inger...
