In Europe, a man takes a job as tutor of a widow's son, and gets involved with an international fascist conspiracy.
Filmed on location in Paris and Rome, the film features lush locales and eleagant costuming by Edith Head. Inger and Peppard play off each other very well, and Welles gives a short but vital role as a villain.
