The Price of Tomatoes

On January 16th, 1962 the NBC dramatic anthology program The Dick Powell Show broadcast a story entitled, "The Price of Tomatoes". In his opening introduction, veteran actor/host Dick Powell described Peter Falk as "...an upcoming newcomer on the way to stardom...taking Hollywood by storm..." He then mentions Inger as Falk's co-star. To prepare for her role, Inger wore a metal weight around her waist to simulate the weight of being pregnant. Eventually, Falk, Inger and writer Richard Alan Simmons were all nominated for Emmy awards for their artistic efforts; Inger subsequently lost to Julie Harris while Falk won the award for his performance on the show. Below are some images related to the program.
